The plot, which follows the life of a female polar bear from birth to to her giving birth, is as thin as the ham in an Irish sandwich, and as predictable as hot weather in Phoenix in July. This weakness is more than compensated for by superb photography, which carries the message. The Arctic ice, upon which the lives of these animals depend, is melting. Queen Latifah is disappointing as narrator. Unlike Morgan Freeman sober, somber "Penguins," Queen is light, sassy and often distracting. The musical score sometimes fits and often misses. Offsetting Queen and the music, however, is the brief and brilliant postscript, featuring individual grade schoolers, each with an individual but related message. They pack more punch in four minutes than Queen does in 92. These last four minutes and the hour and a half of stunning images by National Geographic photographers, make Arctic Tale worth seeing.

I saw this movie for free because Denver Public Libraries were handing out free passes. The movie was better than March of the Penguins & Queen Latifa's narriration made the movie more funny!

I went with my two pre-teen children and they loved the film. The film footage is breath-taking and heart-breaking. The movie has a message, but it is not pushed on you. The viewer comes to the natural conclusion that something is wrong in the environment - it's called global-warming. I wanted to know where Seela and Nanu are now! Go see it or rent it. There are two sad scenes that very young or sensitive children might find difficult.

One of the best wildlife movies I've seen (and I've seen a lot). Beautiful photography, heartwarming stories, and a message about how we are all connected to each other. A must see for people of all ages and especially children.
